9-11 Interview

 Where were you when you found out about the terrorist attacks?

What were you doing on the morning of Sep. 11, 2001 when you heard about the attacks?
She was on the computer and the TV was on in the background.

How did you first find out about what had happened?
noticed the TV changed to a special news report saying that the first tower was hit and it caught her attention.

How did you feel after you found out?
A little confused at first. She assumed it was just an accident. After the second tower, petrified. Complete panic. She knew after the second one that it wasn't an accident.

 Who was the first person you thought about after hearing the news?
 Her kids. Her heart was in her throat. Wondering where the terrorists would hit next. She just wanted them with her for comfort. "If the world was coming to an end, I knew that I wanted to be with my kids."

 Do you think that the government could have better protected us from what happened?
Heard rumors that the government knew about what would happen before hand. She believes that they could have at least warned everybody and set up precautions.

Do you know anybody that was in the World Trade Center that day and lost their life? '
no.

Do you know anybody that was their that day and that was able to escape?
her cousin was there. she was on the lower level after just getting coffee. Fortunately she was able to run out before getting stuck.

How do you feel about the way the President handled the situation?
Thinks he handled it perfectly well. Choosing to go to war was a decision that needed to be made and it benefited everybody in the long run.

What have you learned from the entire situation?
She learned more about the government and about the dispute that was going on. She was never really informed before the attacks, but after it all happened, she made it a priority to know what is going on around her.
